Tahune Camping

Are you planning a trip with your camper, RV, motor home, or camping trailer? Head to the forest and stay at Tahune Adventures.
We offer $10 overnight camping with the purchase of your Tahune Adventures admission ticket. Tickets are available from our Visitor Centre between 10 am – 4 pm. Campers can then set up in the overflow carpark area. Please display your ticket on the vehicle window overnight.
The Tahune Adventures site is not suited to tent/swag camping due to the gravel grounds. The Arve picnic ground on Arve Road is a grassed area suited for tents and swags.
If you arrive after 4pm, you can pay Tahune Adventures admission to our after-hours security staff or book your Airwalk ticket online.
If you wish to camp for a second night, a further $10 value per vehicle fee applies. Please call (03) 6251 3903 for further information.

  • How do I book the Airwalk?
    You can buy tickets online or in person on arrival
  • Can I pre-book for the Eagle Hang Glider?
    No, due to the glider being weather dependent, the experience is an on-demand service only
  • When are you open?
    Everyday from 10am-4pm (except during hazardous weather)
  • Does the Accommodation include Airwalk entry?
    Yes, you are free to wander around the whole site at your own leisure for the duration of your stay

How to get here

The estimated travel time from Hobart to Tahune with no stops is 1.5 hrs drive south. Head down the Huon Hwy towards Geeveston, from Geeveston make sure you follow the signs to Tahune Adventures on Arve Road. This road (Arve Road) is a SEALED ROAD, be sure to avoid any dirt/gravel roads all the way to the site to arrive safely. There is a Tahune Adventures signpost at multiple junctions on the drive. Travel time from Geeveston to Tahune is approximately 30 minutes.

Please note: There is very limited GPS/Mobile coverage in the area, so please follow signposts from Geeveston. It’s highly recommended NOT to rely on GPS as some maps will try and take you gravel roads with no signs.
DON’T HAVE A CAR?
There are currently no public transport options to get to Tahune. If you don’t have access to a car, we can recommend the following touring companies who regularly bring guests from Hobart.
