Tahune Lodge

Set in the forest, the Lodge offers secluded, self-catering accommodation. It’s available for exclusive occupancy, suited for group bookings. The Lodge has a total of 8 rooms, which can accommodate up to 20 guests.
To make your stay more enjoyable, the heart of the lodge features a communal area with fireplace, free WiFi, dining area, fully-equipped kitchen, tea and coffee-making facilities and separate bathrooms. All bed linen and towels are supplied.
Hot food is available in the cafe between 10am-2pm. You can either bring your own food to cook at night or venture back 30 minutes into Geeveston and surrounds for dinner.
Check-in is from 2pm-4pm. After hours and contact-less check-in can be arranged prior to arrival by emailing bookings@tahuneadventures.com.au or calling us on (03) 6251 3903 during business hours. Check-out is by 10am.
We are pet friendly!! Pets are welcome in the Lodge, please contact us directly to let us know you are travelling with your Pet.*
*Pets are required to be on leads at all times while on site. Extra cleaning will incur an additional charge, a deposit for this will be held on arrival and released on inspection after departure.

Tahune Adventures site entry (Airwalk, Huon Pine Walk, and Swinging Bridges Track) is included for the duration of your stay.

  • How do I book the Airwalk?
    You can buy tickets online or in person on arrival
  • Can I pre-book for the Eagle Hang Glider?
    No, due to the glider being weather dependent, the experience is an on-demand service only
  • When are you open?
    Everyday from 10am-4pm (except during hazardous weather)
  • Does the Accommodation include Airwalk entry?
    Yes, you are free to wander around the whole site at your own leisure for the duration of your stay
More Faq

How to get here

The estimated travel time from Hobart to Tahune with no stops is 1.5 hrs drive south. Head down the Huon Hwy towards Geeveston, from Geeveston make sure you follow the signs to Tahune Adventures on Arve Road. This road (Arve Road) is a SEALED ROAD, be sure to avoid any dirt/gravel roads all the way to the site to arrive safely. There is a Tahune Adventures signpost at multiple junctions on the drive. Travel time from Geeveston to Tahune is approximately 30 minutes.

Please note: There is very limited GPS/Mobile coverage in the area, so please follow signposts from Geeveston. It’s highly recommended NOT to rely on GPS as some maps will try and take you gravel roads with no signs.
DON’T HAVE A CAR?
There are currently no public transport options to get to Tahune. If you don’t have access to a car, we can recommend the following touring companies who regularly bring guests from Hobart.
