Hang Glider

Thrill seekers shouldn’t miss the Eagle Hang Gliding adventure, feeling the wind beneath your wings as you glide smoothly through tall forests and across the Huon River.

Passengers are fitted with a harness by their instructor and given a safety briefing. The securely cable-controlled hang glider whisks you from the forest floor, 400 metres return across the Huon River, to a launching point 50 metres in the air. You then glide solo back to make a gentle landing.  Remember to wear enclosed footwear, allow for safety briefing time – and enjoy the rush!

Eagle Hang Gliding tickets can be purchased from the visitor centre on the day. We don't take pre-bookings or time slots for this experience as it does get closed during hazardous weather conditions such as wind gusts over 40km/h.

Due to safety requirements passengers must weigh between 25kg and 120kg. Weight restrictions may vary depending on weather conditions.
